Half Way Point!!
This week was the half way point of my training for my marathon. I ran in the Gopher to Badger 1/2 marathon. It started in Stillwater, MN and ended in Hudson, WI. It was a beautiful run along the St. Croix river, but had some hills that made it tough. It was a warmer morning but I managed to keep my pace of under a 10:00 min mile pace the whole way. I felt good after and was not even that sore. It feels good to be able to run such distances!
Mon: 4 miles
Tue: rest
Wed: 6 miles
Thur: 4 miles
Fri: rest
Sat: 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles)
Total Miles ran this week: 27.1 miles

Getting ready to Finish!!(Thomas did recognize the front of me.....so I only get a behind shot. As I was sprinting to the finish I could see him and then realized he was not taking any pictures so by the time I got his attention this is all he got. I better have a better photographer on marathon day!)
After the race I went home and freshened up. We then went out to Lunch at Joe's Garage which is right next to the sculpture gardens. I couldn't pass up the Cherry in the spoon picture! We then went to the Irish Festival in downtown St. Paul and enjoyed some Irish music, rugby, dancing, and food! I did not take any pictures at the festival, but we had a good time enjoying the festivities on such a beautiful warm summer day!
