Another week down and sticking to it!! I was excited to train this week and break in my new shoes that I bought on Monday. I traded in my Asics and went for a pair of Saucony's this time around. So far, so good. It was a great week of weather for running outside. One bonus to living in Minnesota is that it does not get too hot (or at least not yet!). On Saturday for my 6 mile run I found a lake not too far from my house that is 3.1 miles around with a beautiful wide trail around it. I found myself in my runners high and by the time I went around twice I was ready for two more. No I did not push myself into doing so as I was strictly advised not to over train as that is how injuries usually result. So I did my two laps enjoying the 62 degree overcast day with a mild wind and mist in the air. It was a beautiful, fun and enjoyable run. Yes, you read that right-fun! I am getting back into the groove where it is no longer a chore but an enjoyment to get some fresh air and go for a run. I find myself when I get into the runners groove it becomes a very meditative moment for me. I encourage everyone else this week to find a moment to enjoy something that is meditative for you. This weeks running log

Way to keep on running! To answer your question we are moving our stuff through a company called ABF. It is just like the POD you used but cheaper. We will take it to the transport station in 3 weeks and they will carry it across the country. That is the best way to move if you ask me....no UHauls!
You GO girl!! I never was much for running but admire those that like to do it. Matt was always a big fan of cross country. Maybe he just wanted to get away from all the hussle and bussle of our home with all the younger siblings around!! I guess I will meditate by the pool this week. The smoke should be clearing and we should beable to see the sun again.
Wow--you talk about a 6 mile run like it is nothing!!!
Lets see, where shall I meditate alone this week.....the bathroom......no, I don't get much alone time there either! :)
How much longer till you leave for France? Hang in there!!!
Good for you! I am really impressed. You are doing this with no one else around to really cheer you on. I am finding it difficult to even get to the gym at the moment to do my 1 &1/2 miles on the treadmill.
way to go Kristin, it is always nice when you find somewhere nice to run. I think that I am getting the opposite effect as you, as I am feeling more like going to the gym is a chore, hopefully i will be able to enjoy it again, I think it is funner when you are training for something.
Yes Alexis, I have found that since I have some goals in mind and am training for a race it makes it more enjoyable and exciting. Maybe you should find a 5k or some other kind of race to run again to reignite the motivation.
