After FrostingI made these memorial day weekend for a breakfast at the Park. They were a hit! Instead of Cinnamon and sugar I put in a raspberry filling. I thought I would share this great recipe for those looking for a great sweet morning treat.
Cinnamon Roll Recipe
3 Cups hot water
1/3 Cup sugar
1 Tbl. salt
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup potato pearls
7 cups flour
2 Tbl. yeast
Mix 3 cups of flour with yeast - set aside. Mix first 5 ingredients together and then add flour and yeast mixture. Add remaining flour. Rest on counter 10 minutes. Roll out and add whatever you like in your cinnamon rolls (cinnamon & sugar, jam, raisans, nuts, etc.) Cut and let raise for 45 minutes. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
Cream Cheese Frosting
1/2 cup of butter (1 stick) room temperature
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2-3 cups of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
