I have been wanting to view Minnehaha Falls since I heard about it when I first moved to Minnesota. I finally went on Friday July 4th with my friends John and Emily Sharpe. This urban waterfall is the centerpiece of a large city park in the Twin Cities. Minnehaha Falls is the waterfall of Longfellow's "Song of Hiawatha" It is really neat to be right in the city, but feel so far away at the same time! After we explored the park of Minnehaha Falls we went to Lake Calhoun and had fun rollerblading around the lake. We then soaked up a little more sun relaxing on the "beach." After all our fun outside we then went back to the Sharpe's for the traditional 4th of July BBQ. Thank you John and Emily for hanging out with me so I was not a complete loner on the 4th. I had lots of fun and the food was great!

If there is a "minihaha falls" is there a "maxihaha falls"? Just a stupid joke!! That is an awsome picture of the falls. I can't believe it is in the middle of a park downtown. Next time we will have to see that one!!
That is a really pretty waterfall. I can't believe it's in the middle of the city. Sounds like you had a fun 4th of July holiday.
That is really beautiful. I kinda wish we would have gone while I was there :( Guess I'll just have to visit again sometime!
That is really pretty, I don't know what it is about waterfalls, but they are so simple but pretty. I'm glad that you had someone to hang out with over the holiday, it makes the time go by faster.
that is so cool!! i want to go.
That is such a cool waterfall. Can you jump off of it? That is so wierd it is right in the middle of downtown.
