Where every food is fried and comes on a stick, people watching is considered a hobby, mullets are back in fashion, A different butter sculpture is on display daily, Animals giving birth can be viewed, and is a must do in the summer in Minnesota is the State Fair!! You haven't had a true State Fair Experience unless you have been to the MN State Fair yourself. Maria you were right!! I never knew a state fair to be as big of a deal as the MN State Fair. If you don't go to the State Fair in Minnesota you just are not a true Minnesotan. Everyone goes. So now that we are Minnesotans Thomas and I ventured out to a land of fried food and enjoyed eating it right off the stick. Some Food Thomas and I tried in an adventurous fair spirit was a deep fat fried battered snickers bar, fried pickles, fried potatoe curly cut chips, and fried cheese curds. All were a tasty treat. We had so much fun we took Thomas' s parents when they came into town. We thought in order to give them a true MN summer experience we would show them what the MN Fair was all about too! Mom and Dad Rose had a fun time trying lots of new fair food too!
Sweet Martha's Cookies: This is a must have! Look at the line of people waiting for their bucket-o-cookies! These are hot and fresh and a tasty fair treat that has become a tradition for all fair goers year after year. Thomas and I may have joined the ban wagon and started the fair tradition for our family now too!

Farm Fun: In the birthing area we saw many baby farm animals that were anywhere from less than a day old to a few days old. I got to pet a day old pig! We also saw the biggest boar in MN!
We had a fun evening at the fair! Like all the rest of the people in Minnesota we too will look forward to next years Fair!!
