Valentines Weekend

This last week was a usual week for us. School and work and no time to celebrate Valentines Day! Thomas and I decided that we would officially declare our V-Day on Saturday the 16th. We woke up in the morning and packed a bag for the weekend drove to downtown Minneapolis. We began our celebration by getting a massage. This was my second professional massage in my life and it was wonderful. After we both were relaxed and feeling good we checked into our room at the Hotel Grand. We then walked down Nicollet mall in downtown window shopping. We then managed to find a couple good deals at Macy's that we couldn't pass up as they were having a sale on all there winter attire. Well, winter will be around for us for another 2-3 months so we can wear our new sweatshirt and coat this season as well as many more to come! After shopping we went back to the hotel and got all dressed up for a fancy dinner at the hotel sushi bar and grill. I put on my black dress and got all dolled up while Thomas wore his black pin stripe suit looking might fine! It was fun to get all dressed up together and enjoy a nice quiet dinner. I had sushi that was delicious and Thomas had lamb that he enjoyed. After dinner we had a relaxing night. I wish the weekend could have lasted longer, but I guess we have to return back to reality. I wish we could live in our fantasy world all the time! We wish all our loved ones a Happy Valentines Day! We love and miss you!!

What a great day for the both of you. It is always great to get a good deal at Macy's. You will really get a lot of use our of WINTER things!! They are already selling summer clothes here. I can't bring myself to eat lamb since we look at them out our backyard every day!! Glad that Thomas enjoyed it.

Wow, I'm jealous! That sounds like it was a great Valentine's celebration. What I wouldn't give for a week end alone without the kids. Not that I don't love them, but some peace and quiet and a good back massage sounds nice right about now.

I totally agree with Stacie. That would be so nice. I hope that Thomas keeps that in mind once you guys have kids. I'm glad that you guys got to have a relaxing weekend together away from school and work. Unfortunately we have to go back, bummer.
